My visit with Panther Bior

I arrived in Bor at 2 in the morning and was greeted very warmly by Panther when I stepped out of the plain, on our way walking to Mareng we were talking about what we were going to do in the short time that I was going to be there. We came up with an idea, go to river all day and just talk and hang out. After 5 minutes of walking we got to his village. I was very excited but first, SLEEP! I slept quite well on the dirt floor of his hut, he was very hospitable he offered me his bed but I thought to myself and I wanted more of an experience. When I woke up I was greeted by his wife, Nyanthiec,
Panther Bior and Nyanthiec
she was very kind. She offered me a bowl of lentils an beans, it was very good after a long day and night of traveling. After 5 minutes of stretching and yawning I got up and was greeted by the whole village and then some.I brought two bikes with me so that Panther and I could ride our bikes to the river, we did exactly that it was rather hard biking through the brush but we had a very good time when we got to the river it was still early in the morning, 6 in the morning. the sun was just rising over the water.
We jumped in and i could feel the soft squishy mud in between my toes, it felt weird at first but I got used to it.We were probably swimming around for 5 hours when we saw a hippopotamus in the distance, we ran to our bikes so fast, it was ridiculous! After about1 minute of riding with that adrenaline we were back in the village and i looked at my watch, and what I thought was five hours was 7! It was 1 already and my plain leaves at 7, uh oh!! Panther and I look at each other and started laughing, I don't know why but i guess running from a hippo was funny. For the last 5 hours we watched the clouds slowly go by, Panther said he saw on like a huge peace sign. Sadly it was 6:45 when I looked at my watch, so we headed over to the airport. When we got to the airport the plane was already there Which really made me sad because I was hoping toget a little more time with him. We said our goodbyes with a few hugs and sooner than I knew it I was at home in good old Goleta.
